Our History:
Formerly known as Pacific Grace Mission Chapel, Pacific Grace MB Church began with the support of the MB Board of Church Extension. In early days it was an English-speaking ministry with participating ethnic Chinese.
The first fellowship was established on December 11, 1963. In March 1964 the first Sunday worship was held at the present location. From that time on the number of participating Chinese continued to grow and the church extended its evangelistic efforts to the Chinese community. In the fall of 1972, the number of Chinese participants reached 22. In early 1973, the Chinese congregation requested to conduct separate meetings because of the increasing size. The Chinese department was officially established and distinguished from the English section in 1974. The Chinese ministry continued to grow. In early 1977, the English section proposed dissolving the English congregation. In April of the same year Pacific Grace Mission Chapel was officially renamed as Pacific Grace Chinese Church which was catered for ethnic Chinese. Burnaby Pacific Grace Chinese Church was planted in 1990 and became independent in 1991. In March 1995, another site for evangelism was established in south Vancouver. The one-church two-site model continued until the end of 1997. In 1998 the south site became the South Vancouver Pacific Grace MB Church. Our site was also renamed as Pacific Grace MB Church.
